Target Pro Grip shafts use rings instead of springs to secure the flight tightly in place. Springs tend to stretch with time and therefore gradually lose their grip on the shaft which leads to flights starting to pop out on impact. The ring lock system is fixed and so has a more consistent grip over a longer period of time.
